AXE4FT-8H

The AXE4FT-8H is a two axle self-contained launch/recovery trailer specifically designed special operations in remote areas. The trailer consists of two sections of four each helium cylinder storage racks. The SkyDoc™ vertical 24V winch can accommodate up to 3,000' (914m) of tether. It has the capability for electrical and fiber optic use through the slip ring which allows for preflight testing and launch without loss of power.

Platforms

The SkyDoctm Tactical Aerostat system can be configured as a command and control system. The main AXE4FT-8H platform with camera and communication links is capable of communicating with additional systems in remote areas.  The AXE4FT-8H systems positioned in remote areas utilizing surveillance camera and data link capability would allow for large areas to be monitored from a central command/control center. The command system would be connected to a local command/control bunker through an Ethernet or fiber optic cable for enhanced security and interference free operation. The remote systems could be connected through two-way satellite links.

Tactical Aerostats

The Tactical Aerostat system would consist of a SkyDoctm Tactical Aerostat Model #22 net lift 63lbs (28.6kg). The Tactical Aerostat is connected to the tether at the apex by the controls lines, (left/right/keel). The net lift does not include payload, payload platform, cable line stops, and attachment carbineers.

Platforms

Standard open frame triangular platform, each side is 39" (990mm). There is a circular carbineer attachment ring at each point to secure the platform with a carbineer to each control line equipped with a cable line stop. Platforms may be custom built to suit specific payload configuration.

Payloads

All payload platforms would be equipped with a gyro stabilized camera and radio transceiver link. Control signals are sent to the remote platform and the video feed is received through this radio link with an effective radio horizon of 39 miles (63km) from command/control center to the remote platforms.
